This ferrite block magnet has a 10mm length, a 5mm width and a height of 3mm. Unusually, this block is magnetised lengthwise rather than through the thickness. This ferrite magnet has a pull force of 140 grams and a magnetic flux reading of 1739 Gauss. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12170.
Uses for our ferrite block magnets:
This Ferrite block is magnetised through the length dimension ie;(10mm). This direction of the magnetic field increases strength and decreases the surface area that projects it and is useful in some types of specialised equipment. This can include sensing equipment and positioning indicators in automobiles and aircraft. Ferrite material is similar to Ceramic material. It is unaffected by submersion in liquids, is highly resistant to corrosion and is not easily demagnetised. When their low purchase price is also considered, they really are great value for money.
