This ferrite block magnet has a 10mm length, a 5mm width and a height of 3mm. Unusually, this block is magnetised lengthwise rather than through the thickness. This ferrite magnet has a pull force of 140 grams and a magnetic flux reading of 1739 Gauss. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12170.

This direction of the magnetic field increases strength and decreases the surface area that projects it and is useful in some types of specialised equipment.
