Rare Earth (Neodymium) Holding Pot Magnets

A Rare Earth Magnet with great versatility

AMF Magnets Neodymium magnetic pot, also called mounting or holding pot magnets, are Super Strong Rare Earth Magnets in a mild steel casing that protects them from chipping, cracking and corrosion damage. Their protective steel cap also makes them single sided and therefore a strong easy and non-intrusive solution for fixing and holding objects permanently or temporarily.

These strong and compact magnets are versatile: they are designed for various commercial, industrial, office or home applications. They are also great for arts and craft activities. Neodymium Pot magnets are commonly used for door closures, cabinetry, ceiling or wall fixtures and fittings.

Our Neodymium Holding Pots come in a variety of dimensions and shapes to fit your needs. They are available with countersunk or straight round holes in their center, a male or female thread, a threaded hook or a threaded eye bolt… all designed to hold objects on any horizontal or vertical ferrous metallic surface.

Neodymium Pot Magnets properties

  • Produced by the powder metallurgical method

  • Chemical composition: Nd2Fe14B

  • Very brittle and hard

  • Poorest corrosion resistance of all commercial magnetic material

  • Excellent cost to performance ratio

  • Reasonable temperature stability

  • High resistance to demagnetization

Neodymium magnetic pots can be used at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius. Approaching 80°C, the magnet loses between 15 and 20% of its magnetic force, however, it may recover its full magnetic power once it returns to room temperature.

Pot Magnet pull force is concentrated to one face of the magnet only, due to the steel casing that deflects the magnetic field toward the uncovered side. This feature provides ultimate holding force for the size of the magnet, which is able to hold heavy objects attached to the hook or eyelet.

Pot magnets do not attract to each other and cannot be used as pairs (except for product codes AMFYPA16N/S, AMFYPA20N/S, AMFYPA32N/S
