This rare earth pot magnet has an outside diameter of 20mm and an inside diameter of 4.5mm with an internal flange hole of 8mm. This round hole pot magnet has a thickness of 7mm, a pull force of 6kg and a weight of 12 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPB20.
Uses for our rare earth round hole pot magnets:
Neodymium Holding Pot magnets have a mild steel casing or cap on one side that deflects the flow of magnetism back to the base and increases its overall strength and holding ability. The capping also provides protection for the magnet against chipping or cracking. The Round Hole version of this Pot magnet is designed to accommodate a threaded bolt and nut to secure them in position. Unlike screws, this nut and bolt method of attachment is unlikely to be weakened by bumping, vibration or repeated use and is particularly helpful when attaching to plastic surfaces. The increased strength afforded generally by Pot type magnets means a smaller dimension magnet can be used to the same effect as a larger non-capped item.
