This ferrite block magnet is 52mm long, 25mm wide and 12.7mm high. This plastic encased ferrite magnet has a pull force of 1.5 kg. The plastic case is red on the South side and green on the North side. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12038.

Plastic coatings elevate Ferrite magnets into a class of magnet only matched by smaller, but more expensive Neodymium products and although less compact and less powerful, plastic coated Ferrite magnets are superior in terms of corrosion resistance, high-temperature stability and affordability. The conveniently marked North (green) and South poles on the casing make magnet-to-magnet bonding arrangements easy to identify and apply.
