Magnetic Product Description:
This steel capped ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 15mm and a thickness of 4mm. (With Cap-17mmx5mm) It has a magnetic flux reading of 1982 Gauss a pull force of 350 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10101.
Uses for our ferrite disc magnets:
Benefits associated with magnets that are capped include increased hold at the base surface and more resilience and durability by protecting the magnet from damage. The metal case diverts the magnetic flow downwards and multiplies the overall hold at the base. This is a very economical way of extracting more hold from the same magnet, with very little added expense. Capped Discs are sometimes called holding pots or holding magnets and were designed for this purpose. They combine the economy of Ferrite magnets with the increased hold of a larger or more expensive magnet and in the past provided important solutions prior to the introduction of super strong Neodymium products. They still provide an excellent alternative for today's budget conscious user.
