Magnetic Product Description:

This ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 10mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10009.

Uses for our ferrite disc magnets:

Ferrite magnets are sometimes called Ceramic magnets, referring to their brittle, chalky nature. They are the most economical magnets available and despite their relatively low magnetic power compared to the more expensive magnetic materials, they still provide usable permanent magnetic power that is suitable for large-scale industrial operations and lightweight DIY or hobby projects. Apart from providing economic benefits to the bottom line of mass-produced items, Ferrite magnets have other useful properties that keep them popular in the retail market. They are able to maintain their magnetic power in temperatures up to 250ºC, after which they are susceptible to demagnetisation and they also have excellent anti-corrosive properties that can be beneficial when used in exposed locations, when underwater submersion is probable or for general outdoor use. Most Ferrite magnets need to be secured in place with Epoxy glue and cleaning the ceramic dust particles from the pole surface is highly recommended before the glue is applied.
