Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth threaded hook pot magnet has a pull force of 9kg and a weight of 21 grams. It has a diameter of 20mm, a total height of 37mm and a magnet housing thickness of 7mm. This neodymium pot magnet has an M4 thread with a 7mm hook. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPE20.

Uses for our rare earth threaded hook pot magnets:

AMF Hook Magnets, with their Neodymium disc encased in a protective steel cover, might be the most practical magnet of all. There are hundreds of problematic situations that can be resolved using a hook magnet in the appropriate place. The cleverly designed steel cap forces the magnetic field toward the base for extra holding power and when attached to a steel surface or a correctly placed metal striker, the hook is able to suspend delicate or potentially hazardous items off the ground and out of the way. They are also easy to reposition when needed somewhere else. They can be instrumental in improving food hygiene levels, workplace safety, commercial storage or display requirements while also providing valuable space-saving solutions at work or around the home. Hooks make it easy to hang and also remove an object quickly and safely, so when you need to repeatedly use a tool or instrument for things like onsite repairs and outcalls, these magnetic hooks are often the perfect choice. In locations where steel surfaces and products abound, hook magnets are a helpful tool. This may include businesses like Workshops, Factories and Processing plants.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
