Magnetic Product Description:
This rare earth threaded hook pot magnet has a pull force of 81kg and a weight of 155 grams. It has a diameter of 48mm, a total height of 70mm and a magnet housing thickness of 9mm. This neodymium pot magnet has an M6 thread with a 7mm hook. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPE48.
Uses for our rare earth threaded hook pot magnets:
In industrial and construction sites, or circumstance where power cables, gas lines or air hoses need to be suspended and then removed at the end of the day, Neodymium Hook Magnets are an excellent time saving and safety-enhancing tool. Rows of Hook Magnets can attach to vertical or horizontal steel frames, shelving, scaffolds or props and help to keep vital equipment and resources suspend safely off the ground where they would otherwise pose a significant trip hazard. Accidental leaks, power outages and injuries to workers can be greatly reduced when tools and equipment are organised and workspaces are decluttered.
Hook magnets are easy to attach and relocate, which makes them ideal for applications that are temporary in nature or where the work location changes as work schedules progress, such as civil construction works, mining and training exercises. Hook Magnets keep workspaces organised and that leads to better efficiency and safety outcomes for both contract workers and employees. Hook magnets also help to resolve storage issues around mobile service vehicles, recreational vehicles, caravans and farming equipment.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
